Well right now it's still quite new and risky to use but eventually we could cure all STD's, cancers etc. and even help reverse ageing, change our eye colour, skin tone and cure things like down syndrome in the womb along with choosing the sex of our babies, the way they look, make them more intelligent, athletic and edit out things like depression if it's common in your family and stuff so we can have 'designer babies' if you have enough money. There's a lot of controversy around it though so it'll be a while before we get to that stage.
The potential is pretty much limitless though, it'll make modern medicine today look like something from the stone ages once it's advanced enough.
