First a toddler was called “gay” for playing with a toy kitchen his parents built him and now a nine-year-old boy has been verbally attacked for dressing up as Cruella de Vil at Halloween.

According to Florida-based dad Will Hutt, his son Liam loves to get creative and dress up as all sorts of characters on 31 October each year.

Leave the son alone. People are really still paranoid and think that if you let your son experiment with dressing up that he will somehow turn gay.

The costume is great, honestly why is it such a big deal when a kid dresses as the opposite gender for Halloween or when he plays with dolls or whatever? This macho masculinity notion is so absurd

However I feel like this kind of stories are kind of becoming too overexposed. I hear lots of viral stories about the kid wanting to dress as a princess/female character all the time
