After enduring 40 days of being told to glue my wig in by a combination of fans that proclaimed the death of Mariah Carey’s career and a single hype campaign that delivered some of the ugliest visuals in pop music history, Ariana Grande’s lead single, a single by someone who is allegedly a “main pop girl” now, is at #8 on iTunes less than one week after its release.

its def not the end her streaming numbers are great
The song isn't good and is basically a lesser rehash of her past material.
That and the donut-licking incident and her saying she hated America caused irreparable damage to her image and brand, and Frankie going on Big Brother to promote her turned even more people off because of how annoying he is.
