Does it ever annoy you when people use the word gay to define other sections of the lgbtqia?

Like being Transgender doesn't automatically make you gay . Nor does being bisexual.

it annoys me when people imply that LGBT automatically means gay, or say the gay community but they're actually talking about the entirety of the LGBT community. they're not the same thing, you can be in the LGBT community and not be gay

"LGBTQIA" just keeps getting longer and longer with more ****ing letters. It's ridiculous.

I prefer "queer" as an umbrella term or GSM (gender and sexual minorities).

It's a pet peeve when people are talking about gay rights and using LGBT. For example when gay marriage was legalized: ''congratulations to all LGBT's''

There are gay transgendered people - someone who was born a male and later transitions to a female, but is attracted to females, for example.

If you were born as a male, then transitioned to a female without changing your assigned sex, but you are attracted to males, you're a gay or str8? And if you're attracted to females, you're a gay or str8? Don't judge me because i'm just confused. Thanks

I'm kinda confused at what you're asking, but I believe it's something along the lines of

If someone is a designated male at birth, but are transgender female and they like males, they are straight.

If someone is a designated male at birth, but are transgender female and they like females, they are gay/lesbian.
