I'm pretty sure it's illegal for employers to not pay you for the hours you worked, dismissal or not.

If they fired you then they were supposed to give it to you at that moment. They are your wages and it's illegal for them to not give them to you. You can also request them to mail it to you instead. I wouldn't call HR though. They work for the company, not you. I would call your labor department.
