Yes, atleast to me. I always get asked why I'm not on a sports team or if I can help someone reach something on the top shelf in like a grocery store It has it's benefits too though.

It's more annoying than awkward, the constant height comments and questions about your height are so annoying and everyone just expects you to play a sport because of it

im very tall and the first thing that people say about me in a conversation is my height, its kinda annoying.

The only moments when I feel awkward about being tall is when I'm standing next to someone even taller. I'm usually taller than everyone standing next to me, so when I'm standing next to a mega giraffe I feel really short. Yes, a reverse warholian expedition indeed.
