Okay because of the fact that if I google the term, pictures will show up - I won't be copy and pasting it
Rather, thalassophobia is something among the lines of a phobia of the sea and the creatures lurking in it

Because of this, I can't see pictures of a wide open body of water without instantly getting the chills and feeling nauseous
I can't go to the beach because of this as well
Not to mention, I'm deathly afraid of deep sea creatures

Is anyone else like this?

YES, and people NEVER believe me.

Part of this fear, for me, stems from the fear of the unknown

I see these documentaries and videos of these creatures that look scary as **** and always remember that we're barely even scratching the surface because only about 5% of the ocean has actually been explored

That in itself, is terrifying
