no because a lot of the people that are using this argument spent a lot of time on twitter belittling every black female r&b/soul artist that isn't beyonce.

i do think adele's success is rather shocking though, don't get me wrong she's great but there is nothing she's doing that jazmine sullivan, jill scott, mary j blige, hell even keyshia cole probably couldn't. but i don't consider her as r&b/soul personally.
