The split was mutual. She didn't get dropped. The release of "Louboutins" fufilled her contract with Epic.
Her manager Benny Medina had this planned all along which is why LA Reid attended J.Lo's 40th birthday party and Jennifer attended LA Reid's post-Grammy party.

The switch to Island Def Jam was already in the works before "Louboutins" was even released.
