If they do lose and have to end up changing their ways, then that's good. Not for the views on taxing and budgets, but for some of the AWFUL social policies people tend to carry. The less time they spend trying to go after hardline evangelical Christians, the better.

Too many Todd Akins and Rick Perrys in the party.

I wouldn't get too excited about the Democrats having this election in the bag, either. Don't celebrate too soon!

The republican is crashing and burning in a very public and embarrassing way. Hillary Clinton totally has this in the bag. Between McCarthy totally choking on Benghazi, and Bernie Sanders giving Clinton a free pass on the email scandal, Hillary has a clear runway to the white house. If Trump wins the republican nomination theres literally no contest. He only has like 25% of the republican support, and the vast majority of democratics AND Independents still thinks his campaign is still some sort of publicity stunt. Even a large sect of moderate republicans that refuse to vote for Donald Trump. If Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio doesnt win the nomination, I could easily see moderate republicans voting for Hillary over Trump in droves. Poor republicans. I won't even get into the massive increase in the Hispanic population since 2008.
