This used to be a lot bigger in the 1990s and 2000s, but has since faded and a lot of its stores have closed down. Target and Walmart have eclipsed it big time.

My city still has one, surprisingly, but with three Walmarts and two Target's, as well as a Tj Maxx in my city, it really has become a shell of itself. I mainly remember shopping there as a kid, and not so much after 11 years old. Last time we went was three years ago, and even one of the cashiers said that Kmart has become a flop.

To answer the question: yes. K-Mart is very popular in my country and is potentially the 'go-to' store for purchasing general items such as clothes.

The closest one to me closed over the summer, there is one a town over but it's in the hood so who knows how much longer it has.

We still have one open near me. But yes, Target wasn't around when I was a kid in the 90's, so K-Mart was the supreme.

Yea, I used to love K-mart so much. Weirdly I have a few memories there lol. Anyway also I used to work there as well when I got old enough to work at my local one. That was when I was 17 in 2007. I quit in 2009. I kinda really liked working there for the most part.
