These things always seem to come in fours: first Britney, Christina, Mandy, Jessica; now Ariana, Miley, Demi, Selena.
Of the four, Ariana Grande is the most familiar personality: the Britney Spears teen coquette, with a bit more stage-kid showmanship from her days on drama-school sitcom Victorious. Miley Cyrus became famous by running off the Hannah Montana moral-clause rails, then remained famous by finding whole new sets of rails to run off. Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, meanwhile, are lower-key but reliable hitmakers.
Eh, no way is Ariana more familiar than Miley Cyrus. It's obviously Ariana = Christina and Miley = Britney. (Miley doesn't have Britney's charisma anymore tho. She had it. But she lost it by becoming whatever she is these days.)
As if Ariana is the new Britney. She doesn't have the same impact and isn't bigger and more popular than Miley. If we compare, Miley is the new Britney.
I feel like Demi and Selena are bigger then Mandy and Jessica were in there prime, Miley is closer to Britney then Ariana because she's had a way bigger impact on pop culture
