After clips of new Katy Perry songs from her upcoming album leaked online this week, Capitol has sent the official single to radio today. "California Gurls" features Snoop Dogg and arrived this afternoon. The song was originally slated for a May 25 impact date at radio.
MTV News reports that clips of "California Gurls" and two other songs reportedly titled "In Between" and "E.T." popped up online briefly on Thursday, before being taken down.
Perry's follow-up to One Of The Boys is still untitled and no official release date has been announced yet, though it is expected out this summer. She recently described the album as "a summer record" and " It's roller-skating! It's '90s! It's Ace Of Base! It's Cyndi Lauper! It's like all these colors and more." Perry also confirmed that Weezer's Rivers Cuomo and producer/songwriters Dr. Luke and Max Martin contributed to the new material.
