I've noticed that men shoes have recently shifted towards a larger platform than usual.

First it started off with the Roshes,



Then airmax/nike,



And now Fear of God (really popular brand) are releasing these,




How do you feel about the platform revolution? Girls began picking it up about last year and now men seem to be following the trend.

I just get the feeling I'll look back on them in 20 years with disgust

It's been going on for a while, if you closely follow the curve of high fashion trends and it's effect on streetwear.

They've been popular for like 3 years for the bottoms in Italy.

I like the idea... not only on sneakers, but also on shoes.

Men don't need that height.
And if you're a short male wearing platforms it looks as if you have height insecurities.
