Ringtone sales irrelevant?
Strange coz Beyonce receipts thread is the only one on ATRL that has ringtones sales added
Edit: Ringtone sales alone added up to 16M into Beyonce total record sales. Incredible!
I'm not very familiar with ringtone sales. Where do we get the numbers so I can add it to my fave total record sales?

Ringtone sales are used by IFPI, and they used IFPI's numbers so. Infact, if any receipt thread uses IFPI receipts from digital era, they're using ringtones as receipts too. Anyone in here who posts 'no', but uses IFPI receipts, includes ringtones in their receipts.

Ringtones cost $1.29, just like songs in the iTunes store, so if someone wants to use them they can. They fit under record sales for a song, and record sales for an arist.

IFPI does so?
RIAA counts and certifies them so?
They cost MORE than 69, 99, and 1.29 cent singles so?
You ******s count streams that are FREE so?
The Navy brags about FREE Youtube views so?
Am confused.

idk
I mean
if someone's buying a ringtone is means they like the song enough to pay for it to be their ringtone. if a lot of people are buying that song as a ringtone that plays a role in its popularity.
not seeing any reason why they shouldn't be counted.

But we use certifications/reported numbers by credible sources to total up an artist's total record sales, not IFPI numbers. IFPI numbers are irrelevant and only used in stan wars.
