Maybe I'm the only one but the following 3 things bug me about albums..
1. Self titled albums. For the most part, I find them unoriginal & lacking creativity. Sometimes it's the best way to sum up the album, but most of the time, I think something more creative could've been thought of or chosen.
2. Lead single as the first track. I think for the most part, the lead single is the best option as the album opener but there are some instances where there are better songs to open the album but they choose the lead single. It's an old common industry practice to do this as the lead single pushes the album sales & they want the public to see it quickly so they want it at the top of the track listing.
3. Albums named after the lead single. Kind of a mix of #1 & #2. Probably another industry practice to get people to buy the album but I find it uninspired.
Maybe it's just me, but if not, which one do you dislike most?
Or is there another one that I haven't covered that you find annoying?
