Yes, she owns publishing rights so she gets loyalties for writing the track. However, I'm not entirely sure what control of the track equates to, but an educated guess would be permitting the song to be performed live, be played in movies, tv shows, etc.

It's like how Calvin sabotaged IWNLYD because he could control how the song was used.

Yes, that's her's. She was offered a 360 deal early in her career that would've given her advance cash in exchange for limited rights but she decided to completely control her publishing instead.

Her atruck a huge partnership with Warner Chapell Music in 2013 giving them rights to their masters in all future work. I guess they got Katy as well but signed on a someone named Wayne Hector who has One Direction, Nicki Minaj under his umbrella. I guess that could explain why Nicki doesn't control her masters as much.
