They're basically the same. If you were pushing me I'd say Beyonce is much more respected but Rihanna probably more famous on a worldwide level.

Beyonce is hardly known in Asia, where 60% of world's population reside.
Rihanna also wins in Europe.
Beyonce literally has nothing against Rihanna in popularity.
