Megan Fox is the "New Girl" as Zooey takes maternity leave

There's a new girl to look out for on "New Girl" next season.
Entertainment Weekly reported that "New Girl" is bringing in actress Megan Fox to temporarily replace Zooey Deschanel while the “500 Days of Summer” actress goes on maternity leave.
Deschanel gave birth to her first child, a girl, last month, and will be absent from multiple episodes of the upcoming season, producers said.
why not just put the show on hiatus until zooey comes back?
Because there's 4 other cast members and I doubt they're gonna wait around for Zoey also ain't nobody got time to be waiting even longer for the show to return
Fox will not be playing Deschanel's role of Jess. Instead, Entertainment Weekly reports, Jess will get called for jury duty halfway through the season and remain out for a long enough period of time that the roommates need a sublet for her — Megan Fox.
why not just put the show on hiatus until zooey comes back?
That would affect so many people and mess with peoples income and by the time they came back they would probably still be bitter about getting their pay cut for one person.
