Vanessa Hudgens has moved on from her role in “High School Musical,” which basically launched her into success and enabled her to meet her now boyfriend Zac Efron. Recently, the two of them have gone on to play more serious roles in the entertainment industry. Efron has tackled “Me and Orson Welles” as well as his own star role in the chick flick “17 Again.” Hudgens is going to be in the upcoming “Beastly” film, taking on a modern day “Beauty and the Beast” tale. But Hudgen’s best friend Ashley Tisdale has announced that she will be starring in a “High School Musical” spin-off entitled “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventures.”

Hudgens told MTV that she not only approves of her new role, but would consider making a cameo in it if asked. She states, “I’m stoked for her and it’s going to be awesome. Kids love Sharpay and I did love Sharpay too, her costumes and her clothes and everything. It’s so much fun, so I’m really glad she’s doing it.”

I really hope she doesn't nothing against her, I just want the movie to be ONLY Sharpay.

I think it'll definitely help Ashley's music career though, and it'd help Vanessa's even more. But yeah, I just want Ashley to make this movie and stay away from Disney forever after that.

Most HSM fans have either out-grown it or moved on to other disney channel stars like Selena & Demi.

Plus both Ashley & Vanessa should be aiming for an older audience (which Vanessa is currently doing with her movie projects) rather than trying to re-capture the tween fanbase they had when HSM first hit.

They had such a huge momentum in 2007 because of HSM, and even though you're right, I still do think it'd help their music careers a lot.

But we'll see.

^ HR dropped her last year. I think she'll come back, but not anytime soon.

HR didn't drop Vanessa because she had a 3-4 album contract with them and HR was already prepping Vanessa's 3rd album

according to a HR intern, HR was wanting to release the album in September 2010 with the first single coming out around July 2010 (Beastly's release) but Vanessa wanted a long time to work on it and she wanted to wait until the spring/summer of 2011 before releasing her next album

a music blogger (with very reliable sources in the music industry...he often gets tons of music leaks) stated that Vanessa was trying to get out of her HR contract and she obviously managed to do it

^ I saw that pictures already, but I always thought they were fake...

But it's better for her, HR is an awful label.
