Seriously why does all the blood rush to your little doodles the second an announcement is made? You all flock to that "new thread" button as soon as an announcement is made on TV or social media. All so that you can have "Thread Starter" and a little gold star next to your name. No one even pays attention to who the OP is. No one says "Hey (username)! Well done on getting this thread.

What gives? Why do you care so much? What's the rush? What are you actually achieving?
