That's right, it is FINALLY here.

Dr. Dre has revealed that his very long-delayed album, Detox, is finally going to get released this year. He said it is "for sure" coming out in 2010.

The first single to be released is Under Pressure, a collaboration with Jay-Z. Dre stated in the article he wants to release it possibly in the next two weeks or so

I'm interested to hear it. I have no idea what he's going to bring, but it better not sound like something out of the mid-2000s. Crack a Bottle was an anomaly in getting to #1 and it underperformed because it sounded very dated.

Much of the interest for Detox went away about a year ago. .I guess I still wanna hear it but I already know I'll be disappointed!

you do realize that this is one of the most anticipated Hip Hop albums EVER. People claim that they've list interest, but as soon as that single leaks the Internet is going to go crazy. The hip hop blogs are lickin their chops right now.

Well I think that the fact of the matter is is that people will buy it if it is good music. Based on the time that he has been delaying it, he won't get purchases and united sold simply because he is Dr. Dre. But people haven't forgotten him...he has had the whole "Beats by Dr Dre" commercials and the Dr Pepper commercials. That is actually a smart move on his part, so people don't forget who he even is.

I don't know about "one of the most anticipated hip-hop albums of all time". I think it WAS one of them, but the hype has been lost. However, if the 1st single smashes, then the album will regain the legendary hype.

& if this album was still as hyped as it was, this thread would've been as popular as the Bionic or Britney Spears threads

Although I love hip-hop & pop I love Britney's music along with many hip-hop artists.

MALE artists hardly ever get much replies on forums like this, especially Rappers! You have to go on somewhere like Rap Radar or WSHH, SOHH, or RAP-UP if you want to hear more about Dre or have a better idea of the interest level!
