Did you not watch the trailer? This is the REBOOT. Paul S. Anderson worked on the first Resident Evil film, and now he's back on the fourth.
Have you not played the game? I saw so many things they stole from the video game, the 5th one actually. Literally STOLE it from the game. Did they get the rights to do that???
I hate ignorant fools like you. Sure this movie looks like a watered down CGI action movie, and probably not on the lines of what the games are all about, but that's why it's called:
"BASED ON THE VIDEO GAME"

"IT IS THE VIDEO GAME"
