I think R8 will say a lot about Rihanna's selling power. If she falls into ARTPOP numbers, then the consistency argument kind of falls apart. However, if she doesn't, then Rih proves she has genuine longevity and appeal that Gaga lacks

TF>BTW>TFM>AP in terms of sales, so not really. Even artpop sold like 1M less than a Rih album usually does with smash hits.

Rihanna has released 7 ALBUMS and she still fails to outsell Gaga by a lot.

I'm tired of these Nicki stans trying it every day as if their faves last album sold even 1M WW. They will of course come back with "she's a rapper!!1" as if hip hop albums havent been selling better than pop since last year
