Cheryl Fernandez-Versini wants an end to body shaming, suggesting that it should be illegal to publicly criticise others over how they look.
She told ES Magazine: "I can take whatever they [the press] throw at me after 13 years, what worries me is what it's doing to the younger generation. And some of the people writing this stuff are women. There is no sisterhood.
"The body shaming has to stop. It's ********. Something has to be done, changed, even if it's done in law."
She continued: "I am very happy and very healthy. Every woman has a different body type and handles stress and grief differently.
"I was a ballerina from a child, so I have really good muscle memory. When I work out, I can look like a tennis player. If I don't, I look different."
I mean, body shaming is wrong but you can't blame the press for making stories about her when she looks scarily thin and weaker in the face, whereas before she was a beauty icon and all people could say was how beautiful she looked each week on X Factor.
The hypocrisy of someone, who knowingly inspire millions of young girls, choosing to be extremely underweight and then having the nerve to lecture the rest of us on body image issues.
Look at the latest photos of her. B**** clearly should never get a say in anything related to body image.
How would you enforce that? Are you gonna fine everyone on the internet (including ATRL) criticizing how someone looks? You can't control other people's actions but you can control your own mind. Don't take other people's criticism to heart.
I agree. People need to stop body shaming women. If they work out and get in shape, they're too skinny! If they're fat, they need to lose weight! They can never win.

It could definitely be done in the UK newspapers/magazines.
If they got steep enough fines for doing it they'd stop.
