I wasn't even going to leave a comment here (I have nothing positive or negative to say), but this logic kind of bothers me.
Freedom is not a one-way street. He has the freedom to dress as he pleases and people have the freedom to talk about him and his outfits in any way they want.
Besides, this is clearly a polarizing outfit, so
some criticism will come either way. A heterosexual male or a female of any orientation wearing a polarizing outfit would get negative reactions as well.
