There isn't a problem with skin bleaching per se but there is a problem with the Eurocentric beauty standards and praising of lighter skin in popular culture that is driving people of colour to bleach their skin.
EDIT: (My awful phrasing) The act of physically bleaching your skin is problematic however it's still the person's choice, which there is nothing wrong with.
