Im not sure what the hell her label is doing with this album, but this era sucks so far.

First we have the 2 singles (which are by far the two biggest songs she's ever recorded) and non of them are getting anywhere. Her album is due out april 6th which is a week on tuesday! and there is nothing. no tracklist or even cover. it will get pushed back IMO.

Im hoping this can be a thread where we post stuff about the album, so we can find out whats going on, cos i think we have the makings of a masterpiece here. ()

she kinda comes off as arrogant to me, for someone who has just 1 top 40 hit, about to release album no.2.

She doesn't come off as arrogant to me at all, just someone who is comfortable in her own skin. I find that refreshing. Too many people are overly critical of themselves and she just seems like a laid-back/happy-go-lucky person to me.

Poor Shontelle, she is so underrated Everything from T-Shirt should have done a lot better....

When is Impossible or Licky actually going to be picked up by radio? Smashes in the making, if Z100 knew what they were doing they'd add one of them.

But Impossible is being played by radio... It's BARELY outside of the top 40 and I'm pretty sure she has a scheduled interview on z100?

Yeah she does next week so that should help I think Z100 has been giving it a few spins already

i didnt know bout the US, but what about the UK? i heard 'licky' in 2009 ... ive not heard or seen it on any music channels/radio...

UK radio stations have both songs but can't spin either yet because she/her label have not announced which single they are going ahead with the in the UK. At least that's what one radio station said when a fan called in and asked about the new Shontelle single.

But they do need to hurry up and decide. After the z100 interview, they need to get her on TV to promote the song/album and then go ahead with the UK promotion. The album should seriously be pushed back because they are taking too long to get anything in motion.

I honestly can't decide which would be the better first single. I was thinking Licky because its uptempo and fresh, but Impossible might be better for this time of year & let Licky be a summer smash, but if Impossible becomes as big as T-Shirt, it could stick around for a couple of months. :-/ I really don't know, I just hope them overthinking it won't ruin the era.

maybe a double single? like when they have both songs on one disc.

though that would waste two hit songs, and make them just hit. (Im talking bout UK BTW, they do that sometimes..)

Edit* i just realised, i dont think they cant do that any more cos downloads didn't count for the singles chart last time there was a double single, so it would be impossible *

Licky was never released as a single, they wanted it to be the first single at first but than went ahead with Impossible.

They than wanted to use Licky as the first WW/UK single but that's on hold as well...I say, release Impossible as WW single, alot of my friends dig that track!

i think licky would work better in the US.. but impossible is very good!

They need to hurry up and start with 'Impossible' in the UK. Licky may get a higher peak in the UK no one would buy the album of the back of it.
