YES. It's been so long though. I think I also used to play Sim City theme park? I need to make a Target run and pick up the latest one. I'm gonna end up playing for 12 hours straight
I loved this ****. I'm so pumped for RCTW. I don't get the hate for RCT3, I enjoyed it. But I never invested time into anything else but Sandbox so
RCT1/2 is more technically sound I guess, everything is very concise and clearcut, so it's easier to make a more mathematically pleasing park. That's my guess.
I just love RCT3 because of the different add ons they created (water park and zoo). I'm a fan of games with a lot of more additions, and even though I have nostalgia for 1 and 2, 3 is my favorite. I love going in camera view of certain rollercoasters.
I need RCTW to be RCT2 but updated tremendously and with the same isometric views, but allowing us to build inversions and stuff on diagonals and instead of being locked into 90* or 45* turns
Yay, I just recently found out there are two new games in the works:
- RollerCoaster Tycoon World (published by Atari who published RCT3, developed by Nvizzio Creations - after two previous developer teams were fired)
- Planet Coaster (developed and publiched by Frontier who developed RCT3 for Atari to publish)
RollerCoaster Tycoon World was previously developed by Pipeworks and they released that horrible trailer everyone dragged so hard, but then the game got delayed and a new team (Area 52) got it, but afterall Nvizzio got it and it looks to be on the right track now, because some of the screenshots and updates look very promising. We still don't have a new gameplay trailer though.
Planet Coaster (previously called Coaster Park Tycoon) was announced just recently and it already got a trailer (which got much more positive reactions than the old RCT:W trailer) and the game is already available for pre-order.
