UK: Jess Glynne makes history, ties Cheryl's record
Quote:
Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself leaps a massive 77 places to Number 1 to give Jess her fifth Number 1 single; matching Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s record for the most chart-toppers for a British solo female on the Official Singles Chart.
The singer has also achieved the feat quickly; in just 18 months, compared to five years for Cheryl. Jess' previous chart leaders are Rather Be (with Clean Bandit in Feb 2014), My Love (with Route 94 in March 2014), Hold My Hand (April 2015) and Not Letting Go (with Tinie Tempah in July 2015). Why do they reveal the positions below the top 20 only?
They are revealing the chart on BBC Radio 1 right now. They play in full every single song in top 25
The full chart will be available in almost an hour.
It wouldn't even have gone top 5 with that chart run
It would have if it was held back for 6 weeks while being up for pre-order and then eventually released, as most singles are in the UK, than if it was released on-air/on-sale (like it was)
It wouldn't even have gone top 5 with that chart run
Why does she have you so pressed? It's #25 exactly 2 months after release with no promotion. If it had been held off for pre-order and airplay, it would have gone top 3

Exactly. Thats how to UK works, it would've been Top 3 at least. But as I see 2 months later its doing just fine. Still charting.
