"Look, I don't believe you change hearts," Clinton said, arguing that the movement can't change deep seated racism. "I believe you change laws, you change allocation of resources, you change the way systems operate. You're not going to change every heart. You're not. But at the end of the day, we could do a whole lot to change some hearts and change some systems and create more opportunities for people who deserve to have them, to live up to their own God-given potential."
"Your analysis is totally fair. It's historically fair. It's psychologically fair. It's economically fair," Clinton said. "But you're going to have to come together as a movement and say, 'Here's what we want done about it.'"
"I say this as respectfully as I can," one of the activists said in response, "but you don't tell black people what we need to do. And we won't tell you all what you need to do."
Surely, Hilary is right though. Their response was petty imo. It sounded like she's trying to help them but their ego wouldn't take it. Someone please tell me if I'm interpreting that wrong..

But in all seriousness you can't disagree with what she is saying. It's the truth. It's about changing laws, not hearts. The people who hold those hearts are just going to have to deal with the progression and die off. It will become less and less open as the country becomes brown.
I don't like that she's making it seem like they want to force people to not be racist. Trying to deflect their arguments and say "You can't change every heart" as if that's what they want in the end. It's actually about respect, dignity, and equality at the end of the day. A racist person doesn't have to like me, but at the end of the day you will respect me, just as I do you because we are human beings.
Their response though Cringeworthy, she wasn't telling what Black people needs to do, she is telling what them as activists needs to do plus how are they going to get what they want if they aren't willing to cooperate lolol
And afterward in the interview "We wanted Hillary to accept responsibility"... uh? Can anyone fill me in on what her responsibility is in the systematic racism of America? Is there any genuine fault with what Hillary has done or not done, or are they just looking to blame someone?
It seems to me these people don't want a solution but just to keep complaining
They were on MSNBC and said they felt she answered the questions great. Their only problem is that she didn't seem to take accountability for a lot of the harmful policy she promoted.

I think they're referring to tough on crime policy that contributed to mass incarceration. However, I don't think she should have to take accountability for her husband's policies.
