Rihanna sure loves her ballers, and Matt Barnes happily fits into that category.
The veteran NBA player separated from his wife, Gloria Govan of "Basketball Wives," last fall and is in the process of getting a divorce. TMZ reports that Barnes is now going out with Rihanna and has been on two dates with the singer. Govan seems cool with Barnes’ dating life, even joking that Rihanna had better hook her up with concert tickets.
Barnes has had a thing for Rihanna for a while. He made her his WCW (woman crush Wednesday) on Instagram a few months ago, and flirted with her over Twitter a couple years ago when she sat courtside at his Lakers games.
As for Rihanna, well, she has messed with J.R. Smith in the past, made a football player her man crush and dated Padres outfielder Matt Kemp.
Matt Barnes is confounding ... he says the stories about him going on dates with Rihanna are all gossip, but then he says things could be going down the relationship road.
We got Matt out at the UCLA Softball Stadium Saturday when he said he and RiRi are just friends, but it could lead to something. Interesting, because it sure seems like she's dating Lewis Hamilton.
He went as far as saying it doesn't matter that he plays for Memphis, because she has a jet.
Our sources say Matt and Rihanna were out on 2 dates fairly recently.
