Discussion: When will Christians apologize to the gays?

As yall most likely know, Christians have historically hated and discriminated against gay and bi people ever since some random dude wrote their book.

And that's only some of it. So my question is: When do you think Christians are going to officialy apologize for this? To be completely honest, I'm not going to bother and try to stop "disrespecting" them, as I'm often asked to do, until they apologize for these crimes against humanity.

But are all Christians like that? You can't put 30% of population in one box... there's a difference between people that follow kind of dogmatic lifestyle but have no intent to hurt anyone, and people who are homophobic..

I understand that Christians have oppressed homosexuals, but like why would you single them out specifically for an apology?

It's not as if Christians are the only people who oppressed homosexuals. If they gave an apology, a lot of other religions and countries as a whole would have to do the same thing.

I singled out Christianity specifically since it's the most prominent religion in the most developed countries. I thought that was obvious.

I am anti-Christianity and areligious, but I agree with this 100%.

So, every present-day Christian should apologise for the wrongs committed by people who are mostly long gone?

I suppose next all white people will be asked to apologise for discrimination and slavery... ?

Are we also forgetting that America, a christian country, has legalized gay marriage in every state.

It's going to take time to heal a wound, blacks are still facing racism but its getting better. Just contribute to equality and don't single out a group of people to generalize. Otherwise the same thing is going to happen to you and you're not going to like it
