Because you really can't do anything politically charged on the internet today without some "SJW" calling you a racist/homophobe/etc.

Just be happy that there are "social justice warriors". They are only fighting for what is right, even though they are extra most of the time.

Their style of arguing isn't for me - it's not genuine discussion, i.e. where participants can learn from each other - it's just rage that isn't channeled healthily. I get the need for their anger, but it's not conducive to their aims and doesn't help the image problem that the SJW has at the moment.

The other thing about SJWs is they have no interest in real change or improving the world, just trying to find racism/sexism/homophobia in others. They also have a tendency to generally ignore REAL LIFE sexism or racism issues to whine about, say, Katy Perry giving an Asian-themed performance at the AMAs.

The people who do that are clearly the worst - however, I'm willing to bet a lot more people than you might think that seem to 'hide behind SJW personas online' are willing to stand up for things in real life, too.

And don't try to downplay that Katy performance. It's the pinnacle of the improper nature of appropriative, fetishizing pop media. It was bad and worth being talked about to raise awareness.
