Within my immediate family, very much so. All of my friends were pretty shocked when they met my parents and siblings because of how different they are from me. They are very conservative and embrace redneck culture to a frightful degree. I pretty much represent the exact opposite of what they stand for.
However, everyone on my mothers side (aside from her) has a personality/views that more closely relate to mine. They are all very liberal, open-minded and a little more sophisticated in how they carry themselves. Needless to say, I'm closer with my cousins than my brothers.
