She didn't want to stray too far from the original version.

Her intonation does get a bit shaky in the lower extremes of the song (which is understandable due to Miley being a dark mezzo capable of those depths in the 3rd/4th octaves) and she did go flat a few times..I'd say she focus on maintaining tonality down there even though it's not really comfortable for a lyric soprano like Kelly..
