Obama pushes for gay rights in Kenya - is denied!

Obama urged Kenya to reconsider its treatment of gay and lesbian people. Under Kenyan law, sexual activity between men is illegal and punishable with a maximum imprisonment of 14 years.
"When a government gets in the habit of treating people differently, those habits can spread," Obama said during a joint news conference Saturday with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kenyatta, however, said that while the U.S. and Kenya share many common values and goals, gay rights is not one of them. Quickly dismissing the sensitive topic, Kenyatta called it a "non-issue." Gay rights are "not really an issue on the foremost mind of Kenyans. And that is a fact," he said.
After that comment, a small amount of applause was heard.

We support them because Obama was born there and the country has nearly 7,000,000 starving children.

That doesn't address what I said! If gays aren't an issue on the foremost minds of Kenyans, why are they always in the news in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, etc.?

Girl bye, we have way more important things to sort out before we even get to that.
Obama needs to push for an African economy, but he works for the enemy.

The gay issue is symptomatic of other problems in the country that are holding it back. There is nothing we here in the US can do that those people in Kenya couldn't do for themselves.
