Why do NEW artist STRUGGLE to get airplay when their songs go for radio adds?

Isn't that what radio adds are for? To get your song PLAYED??

I'm tired of requesting on Mediabase, and they don't even play it!

It's not fair! Kat DeLuna did a radio promo tour and they didn't even play her damn song but yet bigger artists like Beyonce don't do radio promo tours and they play her song every hour. I like Beyonce but damn smh

Beyoncé is a bad example because she has been struggling quite a lot on (pop) radio too since IASF.

Radio is a tough system to break because they're afraid to play you until you've proven you can get a hit song, but will also drop you as soon as they need room for the next hot artist.

That's dumb though. That's what radio adds are for. It's hard to get a hit song without the support of radio stations

The GP barely know who Kat DeLuna is, so she's still a new artist. But it's not just her, it's other new artists as well.
