Caitlyn Jenner has praised Kanye West for helping her stepdaughter Kim Kardashian adjust to her tradition.
The 65-year-old Olympian, previously known as Bruce, received a surprise visit from the showbiz couple in the debut episode of new tell-all series I Am Cait, seen by MailOnline, and their first face-to-face encounter went seamlessly.
There was no trace of awkwardness as Kim embraced Caitlyn as a woman for the very first time, while Kanye greeted her with a casual 'What Up'.
Discussing her son-in-law, Caitlyn revealed: 'I've never been very close to Kanye but I've been impressed by his open-mindedness. I think he's helped Kim to come to terms with all this.'
The New Slaves rapper had some choice words for the star about her bravery, and even flashed a rare smile as they hugged.
'I think this is the strongest thing to have happened. You couldn't have been up against more - your daughter's a supermodel [Kendall]. It was like f**k everybody, this is who I am.'
I think Kanye is a good person even though he needs to think before he speaks/acts sometimes. Nice to see open-mindedness in the rap community where homophobia and sexism usually run rampant.
