Jurassic World passes 'Avengers' to become third-highest grossing film of all time!
Dinosaurs continue to rule the summer, as Jurassic World is now the third-highest grossing film of all time - sitting behind 'Titanic' and 'Avatar.' The film pushed past 'The Avengers' ($1.520 billion) on Tuesday with an estimated $1.522 billion and rising!
Jurassic World has earned a respected $614.3 million domestically, while it's international sales have currently reached $907.3 million. Rising to third place is an amazing accomplishment but it still has a long way to go before beating out 'Titanic' ($2.186 billion) and 'Avatar' ($2.788 billion), inflation aside.
Jurassic World has yet to open in Japan - Aug 5th - and sales are not expected to push the film above third place.
Either way, the film has exceeded expectations far and wide and it's fantastic to have a 'Jurassic' film take the third place crown! Tell us what you think the final numbers will be for the film in the comments section below and as always, keep checking back here for all your Jurassic World news!
