I have back in high school. It was in the morning when it was time to get ready for school. Didn't feel like going. So i went to the bathroom and just pretended like I was throwing up(really pouring out my water bottle in the toilet and making coughing sounds when vomiting). My mother heard me and asked what was wrong and told her what just happened. That was enough proof for her it seems and she just letted me stay home. I was so happy that day. And i just got to have the house to myself and didn't have to deal with no one. So anyone here ever faked being sick from work, school, or just anything?

I think I only ever did it once, but I do remember whinging about a headache and sore throat when really I was fine and just wanted to stay home and play my Playstation. I felt guilty and only ever did it that one time so I think my parents were understanding. I've had so few sick days in my life, despite being sick, it's really quite unfair.

All the time. My sick days are mostly "sick of work" days.

I skipped classes for the first time ever. We went to the park next to our school, and one of us got a phone call from her mom saying she had been warned by the school that she wasn't in class, so we all freaked out. Almost everyone in the group went home, but me and my friend managed to creep our way back into class. We made up this story that I was in the yard throwing up, and we got away with it

I actually was deathly ill for 3 days in the eighth grade but I carried it on for 3 months because I hated school that much back then.

It totally worked.

Yeah, I always used to get migraines so if I told my mom I had one, she'd let me stay home.

Now in college, I always go to class unless there's no reason for me not to (ex. my stats teacher last semester put every lecture online so I just watched them online)

Yea, all the time in elementary & high school. I was an expert. I would start faking it the night before, so it would be in my mom's head. I would go to bed early, like I was committed.

too many times. I almost got in trouble with the district in HS because I missed so many days. In college, attendance wasn't mandatory in most of my classes - but I did call in sick at my part-time job a couple times. Now after college, I already used up 5/10 sick days this year at my job - was never sick though. I am a mess

I use my sick days when Im perfectly fine, and go to work when I need them

Aside from the usual get out of work situations, I once faked being sick to get out of going to a Fifth Harmony concert.

Only when I was in school and, like, 15.
Now I only fake sick when I wanna get out of a date/social event [by pretending to be hungover hehe].
