37m cheaters to be exposed today
Quote:
MORE than one million Brits who have cheated on their partners will have their names, addresses and nude pictures released by hackers today, it is feared.
Hackers Impact Team have allegedly accessed intimate details of more than 37m love rats from across the world off the Ashley Madison website.
The mystery cyber criminals are threatening to release saucy secrets including sexual fantasies and naked snaps cheaters have sent to other users.
The popular site – whose tagline is “life is short, have an affair” – is also expected to be taken offline by the hackers later today.
The group have also taken users’ information from the hook-up sites Cougar Life and Established Men.
The Impact Team said in a statement that it had demanded the owners of the sex sites, Avid Life Media, take them off the internet for good.
It said: “Avid Life Media has been instructed to take Ashley Madison and Established Men offline permanently in all forms.
“We will release all customer records, including profiles with all the customers’ secret sexual fantasies and matching credit card transactions, real names and addresses, and employee documents and emails.
“The other websites may stay online.”
The hacking group – who have taken around 1.2m Brits’ details – started publishing the revealing information on the internet last night.
But Avid Life Media had it taken down immediately.
Ashley Madison chief executive Noel Biderman confirmed the breach and said the Canada-based firm were “working diligently and feverishly”.
He added: “We’re not denying this happened. Like us or not, this is still a criminal act.”
Ashley Madison dubs itself the “world’s leading married dating service for discreet encounters” and boasts 37,565,000 members to date.
Users pick their relationship status, state what gender they are searching for and enter a profile before they start searching for dates.
