The OP knows bugger all about independent cinema. This isn't "ouch" at all, loads of films are released like this. A limited theatrical run for the wealthy filmos that gets attention for the VOD release same day. It works for most films with tiny budgets.

Why are you so god damn obsessed. she's an A list because she was on the biggest tv show of all time and 10+ years later she's still releasing multiple movies. Angelina would have been nothing without Jen's husband to steal, let's not.

That is not A-List. I have nothing against her but you guys don't get how the movie industry works. By this logic, Sarah Michelle Gellar (who I LOVE) is A-List. She's not

A-List = People like Charlize Theron or Jennifer Lawrence. Tons of HUGE movies ( not Rom Coms ), Oscar Nominations, Critical and Public Acclaim.

Jennifer Lawrence is an awful actress. that movie with Bradley Cooper was horrible.

You're personal distaste for her does not change her A-List status. She's A-List, and it's not a debate. And Silver Linings Playbook won her an Oscar (Haven't even seen it, so I have no opinion one way or another) and is critically and commercially acclaimed so.. You kinda strengthened my A-List argument and weakened your Anniston one. It's not about who you like, it's about the state of your career.

Lawrence is in Oscar nominated movies, is an Oscar winner, everyone knows who she is, critics and the general viewing public love her, and she has her pick of highly acclaimed scripts to choose from. Anniston is stuck doing generic rom coms so she can live off of Ross/Rachel
