Prince Harry will become the first Royal to participate in the British Record Industry Trust (BRIT) Awards with a video as part of the ceremony to be held next Tuesday, Feb. 16th.
UK's The Sun reports that this will be the first time the program has featured a Royal salute in the 30 year history of the show.
Prince Harry said "The BRITS is a celebration of all that is totally outstanding and unique about British music. But what's less well known about the BRITS is the fantastic work it does raising millions of pounds for The BRIT Trust."
The Royal's office at Clarence House confirms that Prince Harry will make his BRIT Award debut in a video message wishing the event a happy 30th anniversary. It would not; however confirm an appearance at the awards show.
CBS News reports Prince Harry will attend the award ceremony with girlfriend Chelsy Davy as part of a PR campaign to involve the Royals in popular culture.
The show will include performances by Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Robbie Williams, Cheryl Cole, Lilly Allen, Florence and the Machine, Kasabian, JLS, and Dizzee Rascal.
The British Prince is rumored to be a big fan of Dizzee Rascal.
The Brit Awards 2010 will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Earls Court Arena in London at 8PM on ITV1.
