Zayn no longer a syco artist , new label + new management

Last night insiders at the company confirmed that Zayn will move to another label within the Sony empire for his first release in his own right.
A Syco source told me: “Simon has set up a deal that suits Zayn and One Direction.
“Zayn will stay in the Sony family under a different label and it’s totally with Simon Cowell’s blessing.
“It was just felt to be a bit difficult to have 1D and Zayn on the same label — and everyone felt it was better for him to be somewhere different.
“Since leaving the band, Zayn has changed management and lawyers so it would kind of make sense for him to work with a new label team.
“But having said that, he still gets on great with Simon.
Zayn’s solo launch is being overseen by Turn First Artists, the company run by top industry exec Sarah Stennett, which also looks after the careers of RITA ORA, ELLIE GOULDING and IGGY AZALEA.
It means he’s cutting ties with 1D’s highly successful management firm Modest, which has overseen the lads’ transition from X Factor finalists to international superstars.
The move has already seen Zayn branch out into the world of style, making high profile appearances at Paris Fashion Week alongside KANYE WEST.
Syco treats its acts like slaves, so this is a good thing
Truth. 1D and LM have been run ragged by their schedules. One Direction in particular have a brutal schedule. Their label is trying to milk as the cash cow as much as possible before it collapses dead.
I'm so happy for him and I'm excited for his solo record! I think it will be the first record in a long time that I'd buy without having listened to it online first. I feel like I want to get surprised
