It does feel like it has fallen off a bit, I stopped watching because of the excessive commercials and almost round the clock re-runs of Ridiculousness. Buckwild failed to carry the Jersey Shore torch and it all went downhill from there, nobody wants to watch Teen Mom anymore.

MTV fell since the very first moment when they focused more on those ****** ass reality shows instead of music videos.

As soon as they stopped primarily playing music videos and cancelled TRL, it was over tbh.

It's been dead since Jersey Shore ended but I watch for Teen Wolf, Catfish, Awkward, Real World/The Challenge and Ridiculousness.

Do you blame them? Music Video's and Pop Culture as a whole is so boring right now.

Yes. They play the same 3 shows and it is rarely ever about music.

Definitely. It's Music Television, but the only focus on music is the VMA's, the Artist to Watch stuff they occasionally show, and the music videos they play in the early AM hours.

I thought the early-mid (even towards the late) 2000's were good....they had hit reality shows like Real World, Road Rules, and the Challenges, and they still played a lot of music related stuff like Making the Video, TRL, MTV Diary, etc. People would watch more if there was more content related to music and artists they like....not random reality shows and scripted TV shows.

I think they can be, it just depends on the year. For example, the 2012 VMA's were pretty bland and uneventful but the 2013 VMA's were fantastic.

I know and MTV is really stupid AF for doing this. They still own the times square studio,
they use it for VH1 morning buzz and the Gossip table ( 2 horrible shows) so its not like they couldnt cater to music (hell they brought TRL back last year) and garnerd the most ratings for that time slot
then it had in years. For some reason mtv thinks people wanna see ridicilpusness round the clock, or scripted shows. But its like if it is going to be script shows make it GOOD scripted shows on par with breaking bad or game of thrones. OR just bring back TRL again, 1 billion impressions on social media cant lie to you ATRL...............

it wasnt because of that MTV got lucky with Jersey shore, TRL was an anchor that the other
shows revolved around, much how sports center is the anchor for ESPN
