Discussion: How to make a gif from a video?

Find the tutorial I typed a while ago, it helped most people.

First of all you need to download these two programs and install them:
- Free Video To JPG Converter
- Jasc Animation Shop
Posted on your wall.

- You need to find the video you want to make animation from and cut the part you want in the Windows Movie Maker, or parts, if you want to merge more scenes later.
- Add the clip you want to the converter and then click 'save'. It will make all pictures from the clip you added in a folder you want. If you want to add more parts, you have to do it one clip by one.
- Open the animation shop, and click 'animation wizard'. Do this:
* select 'same size as the first image frame'
* select 'opaque'
* select 'centered in the frame' and 'with the preceding frame's contents'
* select 'yes, repeat the animation indefinitely' and select the number you want, it's best to use numbers from 1-5, and just so you know, if you select number 1 the animation is faster and if you select number 5 it's slower
* select 'add images'
* select 'finish'

P.S. You can change how slow or fast the animation is in the 'frame properties' and you can also resize it. I mostly resize them to 130 pixels in width.

If you wanna add some frame in which there is a still picture, you just make it in the photoshop (you can add the artist name, song title or whatever

) and paste in on the whole animation.

Although I select the captures, I don't cut the video with Movie Maker

I can't seem to be able to use a video from "My Computer" and upload it to "Windows Movie Maker". It was purchased from iTunes, yet it doesn't seem to recognize the format(.mp4) or something.

I need help. Anyone?
