but generally speaking I think anyone can wear braids and different hairstyles from every culture. I remember when I was a little kid trying out other cultures styles, food , clothing etc was seen as a great thing (if not done with the intent on stereotyping or mocking of course.). now it just seems like everyone is against anyone opening up their cultural horizons a bit. its just strange to me.
My feelings are... I like Amandla, she is very smart and mature for her age. I'm glad as a young black girl in Hollywood she is aware of injustices going on and speaks out about it. But this is not needed. I can't understand people getting mad at white people wearing cornrows, or any braids hairstyle. Its dumb, hairstyles belong to no race and have no cultural relevance other than being used by some black people as protective styling. And Kylie isn't the only celeb who doesn't speak on black issues. You could even point out some black celebs who remain silent or on the DL. I agree Kylie is ignorant and should use her position of power to do some good, but this is a dumb thing to come at her for. And Kylie's response is immature, isn't she bfff's with Jaden?

This is simply not true. The only people that believe this are white people. Cornrows ARE actually significant to black culture and the style DID come from and originate from African people.
