advil and motrin is ibuprofen
tylenol is acetaminophen
excedrin is acetaminophen, aspirin and caffeine
bayer is aspirin
aleve is naproxen
they have store brand/generic of all of these
i like acetaminophen so i get the generic of that... no point of wasting money on the brand name when it has the same active ingredient

Excedrin is GUARANTEED to get rid of my headaches so that wins by default. The other generic pills could nevah

Ibuprofen, but I'm pretty sure it has more serious, rare side effects compared to acetaminophen.

Acetaminophen. I used to be a big believer in ibuprofen but I OD'ed on it last year and got a chemical burn on my esophagus.

Ibuprofen and whatever's in aleve have worked best in my experience
