The 10 nominees are a waste of space. The Blind Side and District 9 should NOT be called Academy Award nominees for Best Picture. Hell, in some years there aren't even 5 movies worth of that title.

Exactly. And now we have to hear "Oscar nominated...." on every other movie.
I thought the idea was to give other categories other than drama a chance...
If that's the case, comedy still got screwed and The Hangover should have been in place of District 9
...but really neither should be nominated.
